Oha Sir. In Tokyo, people always say to stay at Claska which is cute and great, but actually I prefer Hotel Fukudaya. It is a quirky kind of ryokan in Shibuya - literally 10 minutes walk away from the station. Much better location than Claska, which is like a 15 minutes walk from Meguro station. The oba-chan that runs it is so super cute - she always remembers me and gives me tea lollies and has grand old chats with me about how strong we women are and so forth. And it's OK priced as well - maybe $50 a night? EJ x
I will be moving back in a few months time. Would love to meet you then. How was your trip? Did you go to Kyoto? If you are still there and about to go down to Kansai, let me know - that's my old stomping ground. You would die for the amazing vintage and design stores in the backstreets of Kawaramachi, sir! EJ x
Chops, back to Melbourne not Kyoto. Um, I can send you my stuff to do list if you like? Drop me a line at emmajapan@gmail.com and I shall forward it on to you, sir. Please, please, please go to Kansai. You will not regret! EJ x
